Thanks ian a better picture would probably help but my computer wont
receive usenet .
It is a Welch DC Ammeter , cant find any numbers on it .Binding posts
... + , .25 , 25 & 50 . It has a nice round window to see the movement .
It is made to be portable the way the case is constructed .

Welch made meters and other items for science departments of schools.

Hi,
Several of the items look like lab apparatus. Dating them is
tricky, since the designs often didn't change for decades.
