Icom R-3 Scanner. Help required

Hi everyone.

I have an Icom R-3 scanner and although I have the manual
am completely unable to work out how to enter frequencies
such as AM airband. Moreover, I have no idea how to scan
the frequencies when I've entered them.

If there is any R-3 owner with a bit of time on their hands,
I'd be most grateful if they could email me,
giving me key by key instructions.
