Maybe the "e" in front of the word Astron - is the error! Don't know, never
tried to e-mail them!

A excerpt from a previous discussion on Astrons - may or may not help.

Thanks for the assist Lou.
Dropping the 'e' from their email address produced the same results.
Possibly they don't want email???

Call 'em on the telephone.

I had good response when I had a question about a
SS-25 that started making RF noise. They said to send
it in, I did, they fixed it, no charge.

Hi Richard,

I have heard that Astron is very tight-lipped about tech info for their
power supplies. It isn't just Astron, however. I have a Magnetech RV
converter (a switching supply used to provide 12VDC for an RV), which is
rated at 55A @ 12V, which I was interested in using as a shack power
supply. I emailed the company, and the only thing they told me about it
was that that it would work OK without a constant load on the supply,
and that all schematics, parts lists, and circuit descriptions were
"proprietary information"!

I have bought several differant kinds of the Astron linear supplies and they
all come with a schematic. They just have minor changes of the standard
lm723 type supplies. I have not seen the switching supplies so can not
comment on them. I just don't like the switchers. Not as simple to repair
as the others and some can generate RF noise.
