I'll email him and give him a heads up on the wrath you are about
to impose on an innocent party. That's not me, stupid, but thanks
for the belated congratulations.
Now for the record, all new techs in this area get KB3 calls.
While I've passed Elements 2 & 3, I can only use tech because
I haven't learned or passed Element 1. Next month I should
pass Element 4, then I wait to see how quick the Uncle removes
the S25.5 "burden" from Part 97. My CSCE for #3 is still good
for 11.5 months longer.
Don't bother to reply, I'll just ignore you from web2news.

1. It's not me.
2. How will I know it's Geogre?
3. What call should I be listening for?
If he just passed his test here, how come his call doesn't have a 3 in it?
This is not 1 land.

The guy has renewed his license. That accounts for the recent date and
the "1" in the callsign.

Also, who was talking about you in this thread are you the only guy named
scott in the world? I didn't congratulate him on his license either LOL you
read to much into things. If you did some research scott berkenbilt is a
Dr. You may be a dr.of Bull**** that is about it. What wrath is going to be
imposed on Scott? What do you have planned to harass him?

Maybe you should call me instead of some innocent party.
BTW, when you do find _MY_ address and cellphone #, anonymous calls aren't answered...
I don't have a home phone, just a cable modem. You won't find me in the phone book.
You see, after all these years on CB and internet, I don't leave a good trail to follow...

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but anyone located anywhere in the lower
48 can claim any unused call for the lower 48 as a 'vanity' call. Yes, we
have a couple of '8' calls here in the Rochester, NY area. If I wanted jrh
in my call and couldn't find one available as a '2', I could apply for (and
get, if it isn't assigned) a '3', '1', '0', or whatever. KG6 is now a
California call. KG6AAY is assigned in California; it used to be the
amateur radio station at NavCommSta Guam (receiver site). If you're
confused, think how confused us old timers are :))

That would be illegal for him to do that and he risks losing his Hammie
license to boot if caught there.

hmmm........does that mean you are going to be a agitator on two
meters like dougie???? and according to hamster rules and
regulations, you are required to submit your correct name and address
to the hamster board for their approval............now, is that not
correct???? and if you are not in the database, then when are you
going to be in that database????

It's at the FCC, QRZ, Buckmaster, Hamcall...you have to know where to look.
I spent the night on both bands, communicating. Can you do that on CH6?

Never use AM anymore. Try me on the last four. My TRC-451 has 40 U/L and a stock mike.
Sidebanders don't need echo or power mikes or roger beeps. Just good, clean audio.

Not at all GW. He enjoys off roading as much
as I do, so we have been in contact concerning
off roading and the fun that goes with it.
I enjoy motorcycling, but also enjoy a little
mud bogging, hill climbing, rock crawling too.

I like to Jeep up a tall hill or small mountain, and set up
antennas and see where I can talk. More bands, more contacts.
These dumb asses don't realize that when one band is dead,
there is someone on another band. If CB has S9+ of noise,
and you can't hear the person on the other end no matter
how much power YOU use, it's nice to be able to switch to
a frequency thats more conducive to communication.
OTOH, my many years of pulling weak ones out of the noise
on 11 meters, has my ear tuned for pileup work. I pull
callsigns out of a pileup better then most hams.

Back when the Party Pirate reigned supreme on Tampa Bay's underground
airwaves, I received the best advice ever, practically straight from the
horses mouth.."If you have a license from the FCC, allow it to expire.
If you don't have one, don't get one. If you have a family, stop what
you're doing. If you live in fear, this is not for you. The only way a
pirate operator (FM Commercial Band) remains safe, is to keep them
guessing as to your identity." Regarding such activities, truer words
have never been spoken. This was at a symposium sponsored by a certain
Federal watch-dog group. It appears the words ring true concerning DX on
cb, also. Never know when the hammie that claims "It's my right to
enforce whatever law I see fit" is going to become pro-active instead of
reactive.....he just may turn ya' in after a disagrement on 2 meter
where ya' dared correct him in front of others.
