Hello!, Maybe someone here can help me out?.
On Saturday June 02, 2001, I bought at a garage sale
for 25 cents, A 2 record set of 78's (these are the same size as a 33), But
they at 78 speed:.
The Records are VOX Presents on POLYDOR Records
BEETHOVEN SONATA in C MAJOR Op: 109
For Piano WILHELM KEMPFF, Pianist.
These Records were made in France in 1936...
Record # 1 has a crack in but is still playable.
Record # 2 has no cracks and plays well,
The question is how much are these Records worth??
Anyway Thanks For The Help,
And yes I know this is rec.audio.tech , Didn't Know where else to go with
this question..
Thank-You

Actually it's Rec.radio.cb But I understand the mistake. Every medium to
large town has a record collectors store, they are tough to find. Mine is a
used bookstore with every old piece of vinyl in the back you can imagine,
with vintage audio equipment!!! Find this store as these people do it more
for a love of music than as a source of revenue. They will be able tell
it's value. Beings as one is damaged I would suspect it's value pretty low.
BUT I have seen works like this go for cash for an artistic standpoint if
the wax is in visibly good shape. Some people will frame these old pieces.
Good luck! Are you a record collector?

not an answer but the boys who maintained the sod farms around here
used 78's to keep the irrigation sprinklers pointed in certain
directions. can only imagine what they wasted.

Try posting your question in the rec.antiques.radio+phono newsgroup. It's a
good bet that someone there can help you out.
