From RadioInsight

West Virginia Radio Corporation launched the WCHS News Network in
Charleston WV earlier this week.

The networks launch coincided with News/Talk 580 WCHS Charleston launching
its FM translator 96.5 W243DR Charleston. It also meant the end of Oldies
on 680 WKAZ/95.3 W237AZ Charleston as that station has flipped to Business
News utilizing Bloomberg Radio programming. The third station comprising
the WCHS News Network is Sports ESPN Charleston 1490 WSWW Charleston/104.5
W283AQ Cross Lanes.

FCC Report 3/12: Beasley Loses Challenge Against Tampa LPFM

From RadioInsight

Beasley Medias Interference Complaint against 100.1 WVVF-LP Town N
Country/Tampa FL filed in July 2015 for operating as a de-facto commercial
station by running a Spanish Classic Hits format and not the educational
programming it claimed in its application was dismissed by the FCC.

The FCC struck down Beasleys argument that WVVF-LP through a predominantly
music format, has failed to advance an educational program as The
Commission has previously accepted all-music formats as advancing an
educational program. Viva 100.1 did not get off the hook completely as it
entered into a Consent Decree and $2000 fine for violating the Underwriting
Announcement Rule on at least one occasion.
