20M opening by
Brett
Hey, Woger. I just finished a brief QSO on 14.335 USB at 0245. I ran only 25
watts to do so. I spoke quite clearly with a Ham in Florida for a period of
ten minutes.
Perhaps you should now chime in, Extra Roger, and tell me that this QSO is
not possible.
And no, I will not give you the call of...

Should we have a poll? by
Jim Hampton
Hi, gang
How about a guess as to how many days we have to wait for a subject that is
actually *on* topic?
I'll guess 60 hours.
Any takers? LOL
Any chance of stopping the flames? Didn't think so ... but ... in any case,

Question for Techs not upgrading to General question by
Bill Sohl
This is specific to current Tech license holders.
Two questions depending on your being
either Tech (no code) or Tech+ (with code):
If you are No code Tech, do you plan to upgrade
to General once the code test is eliminated
as a General requirement?
If you are Tech+ now, any particular...

Why Policy Is Good in Radio by
javawizard

transmitter. In those days before FCC regulations, not knowing just
how big to make a transmitter in order for the signal to be received
some distance away, the station set up to broadcast at 500,000 watts.
It requires about one watt...
