Radio Reception quality question (static and selectivity) by
isFred
Ok, I bought a new car a couple days ago with a very upgraded radio/sound option. It's got the worst reception (especially static) and the worst selectivity (stations bleeding into each other and stations not tuning in well) of any of the dozen or so cars I've owned in my life.
Before I go to the...

Why does AM reception vary so much from car to car? by
red raider
I have an old Explorer and get better AM reception than in a new Lexus.
What can one do? Also, it seems electrical lines cause lots of
problems. I try and listen to a small station Radio Sandy Springs 1620
AM in Sandy Springs, GA and some place I get great reception in other
places lots of...

Call Screener Software Needed by
Sven The Engineer
Does anyone have a copy available of Gentner's ScreenWin Software for the TS612 system? We had it in a studio and the PC hard drive failed and the back-up was bad. Gentner went away in 2002 when Comrex bought them and products are unsupported now. Thanks.

AM 1680 identification difficulty (northern california) by
weatherall
I'm in Northern California and I'm using an Eton E5 with no external antennas. I'm trying to identify an English language station on 1680 kHz. It is a weak signal with some fading. The station is playing hits from the 1960s and 1970s ("Yesterday" by the Beatles and "The Gambler" by Kenny Rogers...

Time for a 97.1 The Drive plug by
Archie Leach
(never mind that my handle on the Michigan Radio and TV Buzzboard has
been "971The DriveFan", though I devised it several years ago, and
while the romance has gone, I still enjoy The Drive, and especially
Bob Stroud's on-air moments--truly a classic on-air personality)
Well, apparently The Drive...

Administrivia: The past, present and future of Airwaves Digest by
Steve Sobol
So, some of you (many of you?) may be wondering what happened to the mailing
list and newsgroup.
A lot has happened over the past few weeks; things that made it impossible
for me to do anything at all with RRB/Airwaves.
So, here's what has been done:
