Default FS Palomar VLF Converter

FS is a Palomar Engineers VLF Converter. These converters are used to allow
reception of
low frequencies from 10 to 500KHzs on receivers and transceivers that don't
go that low.
It is operated off of a 9 volt transistor battery and is easy to use. Below
are the directions for use:

Connect an antenna to the "10-500 KHz Antenna" connector. Connect a
shielded cable from the "3.5-4 MHz Out" connector to a receiver that tunes
3500-4000 KHz. Clip a 9-volt transistor battery to the leads and slip it
into the holder on the converter. Turn the switch to "ON".
Tune the receiver to 3500 KHZ where a strong carrier should be heard -
this is the converter local oscillator. Tune the receiver up from 3500 kHZ.
The VLF signals heard will be at the dial reading less 3500 KHZ.

This converter is used and in very good condition. Price is $45 plus
shipping.
Thanks, Charlie Hugg, K5MBX
