OK so there was this eBay Auction for a old {Discontinued}
Radio Shack Inverted "V" Multi-Band Shortwave Antenna
formerly RadioShack Catalog # 20-181
* 65 Feet overall length (32.5 ft each leg)
* Multi-Band trap covers 60,49,41,31,25,21,19,16 and 11 Meters.
* Installation instructions included in package

PARTS

1 - The center piece of this Antenna was a PL-259 T-Adapter

This UHF M-358 T-Adapter connects Two SO-239 Jacks to One PL-259
Plug.

2 - Standard PL-259 UHF-Type Coaxial Connector (2-Pack)

The Twin Five-Wire Multi-Elements-Antenna-Arms ended in
PL-259 Plugs with all Five Wires Soldered to the Center
Connector of the Plug for one-side and the other-side had
all Five Wires Soldered to the Outer Housing of the Plug.
Effectively wiring them through the T-Adapter as a Dipole.

3 - 100' Five Conductor [Flat] Antenna Rotor Cable

4 - 50-Ft. RG-58 Coax Cable Assembly for the Feed-in-Line

CONSTRUCTION - Wire Antenna Element Construction :

* First Cut the Rotor Cable in Two Halves 50-Feet Each

* Strip and Tin the Wires at one end of each of the Halves
and Solder them all to one each of the Two PL-259 Plugs
as outlined above.

At the Measured Lengths from the Plugs 'Cut' and Inch of the Wire
from that one Element of the Five Wires in the Rotor Cable.

NOTE - These Wire "Cut" Lengths are for an Inverted "V" set at
30 Degrees off the Horizontal [Flat] -or- 60 Degrees off the Vertical
and are 5% Shorter that a Standard [Flat] Dipole Antenna's Numbers.

* Starting with the Longest Pair of Antenna Elements cut to 45.3
Feet
which would give a Tip-to-Tip Length of 90.6 Feet.
{ Cut for the 60-Meter Band ~ 4400–5100 kHz }

* Next the Second Pair of Antenna Elements cut to 36.6 Feet
which would give a Tip-to-Tip Length of 73.2 Feet.
{ Cut for the 49-Meter Band ~ 5800–6300 kHz }

* Then the Third Pair of Antenna Elements cut to 30.2 Feet
which would give a Tip-to-Tip Length of 60.5 Feet.
{ Cut for the 41-Meter Band ~ 7100–7600 kHz }

* Followed-by the Fourth Pair of Antenna Elements cut to 23.3 Feet
which would give a Tip-to-Tip Length of 46.6 Feet.
{ Cut for the 31-Meter Band ~ 9250–9995 kHz }

* Ending with the Fifth Pair of Antenna Elements cut to 18.7 Feet
which would give a Tip-to-Tip Length of 37.4 Feet.
{ Cut for the 25-Meter Band ~ 11.50–12.16 MHz }

* Coverage 60, 49, 41, 31 and 25 Meter International Shortwave Bands

* Take the Un-Soldered-End of each of the Rotor Cables and
Fold-it-Over 4"-6"and secure a Nylon-Poly Rigging Rope to it.

* Assemble the Two PL-259 Plugs to the T-Adapter.

* Attach {Secure} a Nylon-Poly Rigging Rope to the T-Adapter.

* Connect the RG-58 Coax Cable to the T-Adapter.

* Rig the Center at about 45 Feet above the ground and the
Tips at about 20 Feet above the ground.

* Connect the Coax Cable to the Radio/Receiver.


ok so -if- 'v' is for victory . . . then surely the multi-band
inverted 'v' antenna is for good shortwave listening - iane ~ RHF
