For Sale - MFJ VersaTuner V Model MFJ-989C
The MFJ-989C roller inductor tuner is a 3000 watt PEP input, 1500 watt PEP output antenna tuner. These power ratings are for load impedance's of 35-500 ohms. The MFJ-989C is designed to match 50 ohm output amplifiers, transmitters or transceivers to virtually any antenna. Peak and average forward power, reflected power, and SWR are displayed on the MFJ-989C's illuminated cross-needle meter. There wouldn't be a rating for the output power level, either you feed too much into the input or it's okay. Surely what you meant was that the tuner can handle a transmitter of a certain power level, and that power level can either be measured as 3000w input to its plates or 1500watts output. Which of course isn't two different power levels, just a different method of measuring the power, the former with metering inside the rig, the latter with a wattmeter on the output of the rig.
