Default New Blog on TP MW and Tropical Band DXing with the Flex-Radio SDR-1000

Rec.Radio.Shortwave readers may be interested in following the weblog on my experiences, pro & con, with the Flex-Radio SDR-1000 receiver. I intend to add to this blog as time allows (hopefully weekly) and as I discover how this software-defined (SDR) radio performs for TP DXing and the tropical bands.

I have a good beginning so far, with sections on:

a.. Introduction
b.. Key Points
c.. Unique Features
d.. Drawbacks and Solutions
e.. Initial Setup and Calibration
f.. Power Up: First Impressions of the SDR-1000
g.. DXpedition Time
The URL for the blog is: www.sdr-1000.blogspot.com

I welcome your online comments and questions.
