Making the possibly naive assumption the subject - and not the message
body - was your intent:

BPL = Broadband over Power Lines.

It is a method for delivering high-speed data (Internet access) to homes
through the electric utility wires.

It is a problem for shortwave users because the data signals "leak out"
of the wires. While cable TV lines are carefully shielded, and
telephone lines (over which DSL high-speed internet is delivered) are
carefully balanced to avoid signal leakage, power lines require no such
shielding/balancing. They are very efficient transmitting antennas!

The ARRL (national association for radio hams) has been leading the
fight against BPL, but other commercial and government services are also
at risk. As frequencies as high as 80MHz can be used, even television
channels 2-5 could suffer interference.
