I have used XMLOG (shareware) for some time on XP and on Windows 7. It
has many many advantages and works with many rigs to automatically
enter time, frequency, and mode.

Further it has a good interface to LOTW.

For further information see www.xmlog.com.

Default Logging softare??

Hi
Thanks for the reply.

My rigs are older and dont support interface hook up. Iam looking for a
logging software that doesn't need hook up to the rigs.

Other than pad and paper, slate and chissel

Something independant and not reguired to hook up to the rig. I know there
are a couple of old dos programs, not looking for that.

Thanks

At http://www.dxlabsuite.com/ you will find a suite of programs which
includes DXKeeper.

It will interface with several sources of info such as the QRZ callbook
as well as eQSL and LotW and keeps track of numerous awards.

You can install as many or as few of the applications as you find useful
and they integrate with each other.

If you do any PSK or RTTY, WinWarbler is especially nice. It is also handy
in SSB mode since it is integrated with DXKeeper.

There are too many features to talk about here; see the web site for details.

FYI if you do not have rig or rotator control from your computer, those
things are just ignored.

I have used and liked Squirrel logging software in the past.

Consider what you find at n3fjp.com. I'm the local club's FD chairman and
we're going to use his network logging program this year. Our trials with
Field Day Logger 2.6 have all been satisfactory but I have no experience
with any other programs.
