Default FA: Heath Heathkit Cheyenne AM/CW Transmitter + AC Power Supply

I have a nice little Heath Cheyenne transmitter for auction on eBay.

The URL with pictures is

and the text is

This auction is for a Heath Heathkit Cheyenne AM/CW transmitter in excellent
cosmetic and electrical condition, and a Heath AC power supply and connecting
cable. There is a small scratch in the front panel (shown in the second photo)
but other than that the panel is pristine and the chassis has very little if
any corrosion or discoloration. I didn't build this radio but the person who
did was good at it -- a very nice job. The Cheyenne is a mobile AM and CW
transmitter manufactured
by Heathkit in the late 50s. This small unit measures 12.25"W x 6.25"H x 10"D
(less knobs & rear connectors). What makes this radio a pleasure is being
self-contained & compact with a seperate power supply using either a 12 volt DC
version or the Heathkit Utility power supply. Later power supply models with
the 250vdc or 300vdc low B+ selector switch can be used in the 300 vdc output
position. The construction is solid with ceramic switches & point to point
wiring
that does not include the unreliable, subject to heat cycling printed circuit
boards used in later Heathkit models. The transmitter has a built-in VFO & a
'spot'
switch for aligning the frequencies of transmitter and receiver. The
transmitter is a low level, screen modulated type that produces surprisingly
great sounding
audio- no modulation transformer & associated push-pull tubes required. It
features a built-in VFO, controlled carrier modulator, four RF stages, 6146
final
amplifier, and pi-network (coaxial) output coupling. A spotting switch is
provided to allow tuning the transmitter "off-the-air" and a specially designed
ceramic
element microphone with push-to-talk switch assures properly shaped audio
response for effective modulation with plenty of "punch." Simple conversion to
fixed station operation is easily accomplished by using the Heathkit HP-20 AC
power supply. Styling of the Cheyenne features a one-piece die-cast front panel
with raised meter, tuning dial and control panel escutcheons, and die-cast
knobs. Color styled in two-tone gray and gray-green.

I also have for auction a nice Hallicrafters SX-62A receiver, and a near-mint
TenTec Signalizer CW filter/amplifier. Please check my other auctions.

All items close Sunday, February 22, 2004.

Thank you.
