Default Radio Farda (clandestine)

Radio Farda heard on 15290 khz at 0500 UTC (weak jamming signal heard in
background, Iranian gov't jamming
i presume). Decent signal S-3 to S-4.

Since it's a permament station (not temporary), then technically it can't be
cosidered a true clandestine station.

I guess i put "clandestine" beside it because i found info on that station
on ClandestinRadio.Com
and the AO3 schedule also has it as being clandestine. But you're correct.
One of the criteria for a clandestine
station is that it be temporary, which apparently Radio Farda is not.
(transmits from Greece, i believe).

Whether permanent or not, it's what is known as a 'surrogate broadcaster'.

I checked the IBB skeds and the EiBi skeds, and apparently they are not using
Portugal.

Isn't that a US government operation, like Radio Sawa ?

Indeed it is. Radio Farda replaced the previous Radio Azadi Persian
service to Iran.
