FR - REUNION ISLAND, AF-016
Gerhard,FR/OE3GEA, announced to become active only in CW on all bands
from Feb 1-13. QSL cards via homecall.

H40 - TEMOTU ARCHIPELAGO, OC-100
In the DX Newsletter 1604 we announced an upcoming DXpedition to
Temotu (OC-100) by Bernhard,DL2GAC (H40MS), Siegfried,DK9FN (H40FN),
and Herrmann,DL2NUD (H40?), which should take place from Mar 2-16.
Siegfried points us also to his new website with detailed information

JD1/MT - MINAMI TORISHIMA, OC-073
Masa,JA6GXK (JD1BMM), and Kingo,JK1PCN (JD1BND), are staying on
Minami-Torishima (OC-073) since Jan 24 until Feb 9. They are on a
business trip to the island and will try to show up on the bands almost
daily during their little spare time.
QSL for JD1BMM direct (Masafumi Ishihara, 2-305 Loran, 2-5-35 Miyazaki,
Chuo-ku, Chiba, 260-0806 Japan) or via JARL bureau.
QSLs for JD1BND should be sent via bureau to JD1BND.

V6 - FEDERATED STATES OF MICRONESIA
Yuki,JH1NBN, is also on a business trip to Micronesia since Jan 19. He
hopes to become active as V63AQ from the islands Pohnpei (OC-010),
Kosrae (OC-059) and Chuuk (OC-011) until the first week of February.

VP8/SG - SOUTH GEORGIA, AN-007
Once again Lars,MM0DWF (DL9LB), is working on South Georgia (AN-007)
and will try to show up as VP8DIF during his spare time in Feb.
This time he will also work in RTTY. QSL direct or via bureau to DJ9ZB.

XT - BURKINA FASO
Michael,F1IQH, wants to hit the airwaves as XT2WC for two weeks
starting on Jan 25. Michael will work mainly on 20m and if conditions
are good also on other bands. QSLs via his homecall.

3B7 - ST BRANDON ARCHIPELAGO, AF-015
Originally Rachid,3B8FQ, should have stayed on St. Brandon already by
the end of 2008. A new date has been announced for February. If all
works out fine he wants to hit the air as 3B7FQ in CW/SSB on 40-10m.
Rachid also plans a holiday trip to Rodriguez Island (3B9FQ).
During July and November he expects to swow up as 3B6FQ from Agalega.
His QSL manager is K5XK.

5H - TANZANIA, AF-032
Sigi,DL7DF, is going to spend his holidays on Zanzibar Island (AF-032)
from Feb 3-12. His callsign will be 5H1DF and as usual you can work him
in CW/SSB/RTTY/SSTV on 10-160m. Sigi carries a linear amp with him,
an 18m long vertical for the lowbands and a R7 antenna.

7Q - MALAWI
Harry,7Q7HB, is staying in Malawi again for the next two months. He
promised to show up on the bands again after fixing his amplifier and
changing the defective rotor. Harry prefers to work in PSK, RTTY and CW
but works also in SSB upon request. QSLs only direct via G0IAS.

SCOTLAND, SPECIAL EVENT STATION
The radioclubs of Kilmarnock and Loudoun are active as GB250RB since
Jan 25. The licence is valid until Dec 31,2009, to remember the
250th birthday of the Scottish poet Robert Burns. Please check also:

Daniel,DF8UO, writes that Solofo,5R8ET, passed away last week.

Tadeusz "Teddy" Barczyk (DL4DBR, SP9ERC) who was handicapped since the
age of 17 deceased already on Jan 2. He was the QSL manager of PT5ZHP,
VK6DXI (aka 9M8DX, 9V1XE, 7X0DX, etc).

Zedan Hussein Abbas,JY3ZH, was Net Control of the Arabian Knights Net
on 14252 kHz which was initiated by King Hussein of Jordan (JY1) in the
1970s. Zedan,JY3ZH, became a silent key on Jan 20,2009, after being
licensed for 40 years.
