Looks like better build quality than Sat 800, but IIRC, it's a Tecsun
build.

RHF posted some info on this some months ago from Tecsun.

I kinda like the looks of most any receiver that has a real signal strength
meter these days.

I wonder if Drake is involved in the design.

We'll find out. I just sent an email to Bill Frost at Drake.

Yeah, it does have a retro look. The signal strength meter and
speaker grill are reminiscent of the Sony ICF-6700W/6800W. The
Grundig/Eton/Tecsun folks are clearly trying to appeal to our sense of
nostalgia.

Now, they just need to load the unit with vintage recordings of old
Cold War-era propaganda broadcasts, ready for playback on demand...

Interestingly, Universal's profile of the product contains no
reference to the "advanced DSP technology" that's mentioned on the
Eton website: http://www.etoncorp.com/product_card...uctDbId=351064

Then everyone would start complaining that there's never anything on
SW but propaganda...lol

This picture is posted in a Chinese BBS showing the
Tecsun S2000 Shortwave Radio -aka- Grundig Satellit
750 Radio on the Production Line, it is a small size

This Radio is now being re-badged as the the new
Grundig Satellit 750 Radio with an MSRP of $300

The Question becomes is it more than just a 'smallerized'
Copy of the Grundig Satellit 800 Millennium ?

DOES IT HAVE ALL THE FEATURES OF THE
GRUNDIG SATELLIT 800 MILLENNIUM ? ? ?

New 'smaller' Grundig Satellit 800 'like' Radio ?

The sample of Tecsun S2000 has come out! Better
than the Eton E1 and Sangean ATS-909 Radios !
http://www.dxing.info/community/view...df7f8 c0a64c6
OK so from this can we infer that the new Grundig
Satellit 750 Radio performs in some respects better
than the the Eton E1 and Sangean ATS-909 Radios ?

The Sat 800 was the biggest pile of junk I've ever bought.

Certainly looks like an interesting radio. The real signal meter and
rotatable AM antenna definitely harken back to classics like the
RF2200. Wonder what the tuning resolution is. A $300 price tag will
require more than good sounding audio.
