Default Los Angeles County trunked system

But some times the control channel is strong and should work. I have had
four trunk trucker radios now and even with a good strong control channel
reception it will not track a conversation. I will hear someone and will
not hear the rest of it.

Where are you? I live in south Kern County (Antelope Valley) and
easily monitor the LA County trunked system on a Radio Shack PRO-95,
indoors with the stock 6 inch antenna. The only problem is Channel 15.
It sounds messed up. I don't know if it's the repeater or my scanner.
It could even be EMI from the big cell phone tower a block away.

These are the channels I have set up:

01 866.0875 (control channel)
02 866.5875
03 866.9375
04 867.225
05 867.725
06 866.25
07 866.775
08 867.775
09 868.0875
10 868.775
11 868.725
12 866.3
13 866.275
14 866.8
15 867.275 (bad)
16 867.8
17 868.275
18 868.8
19 867.25
20 868.25

I have these in Bank 3 of my scanner, so the above frequencies are
stored in scanner channel 301, 302, etc.

This site shows many of the talkgroups in the system. Not all, though.

Judging from what I've heard, repeater sites are still being added to
the LA County trunked system. During a recent wildfire, I overheard
some comm techs talking about activating a new site. One guy said the
fire was forcing them to advance their schedule six months.
