Can you bash a troll? This doesn't make sense. A troll comes to a
newgroup with the intention of making other posters angry, hopefully
so angry that he elicits a negative reaction of some kind (insults,
name calling, etc.). When others do in fact have that reaction--the
very reaction the troll was looking for--is it sensible to describe
them as "troll bashing"? This doesn't sound right to my ear, anyway.
