I take care of Maggie when my dad & step mom can't be home. She
likes to pose for ANY camera, too.

Did the car stop suddenly while the dog was chasing it?

Haw, I've always wondered how they got like that.

I was going to say my cats would eat that for lunch...

That's quite an overreaction to a very common (and totally harmless) joke about short
snouted mutts.

First of all, Maggie isn't a mutt. Secondly, a lot of small dogs like
her have a lot of problems breathing. So far, she has had to have hip
surgery, and almost died twice in one year. SHe is only four years old,
and more than her share of problems.

If I made ANY joke about cats, every cat lover on the group would be
up in arms, and calling me names. Like I said, they can have all the
cats they want, but I don't want them around me. A feral cat has
scratched the paint off a steel door several times, till I had to get
down on my hands and knees to sand, prime and repaint it. Then I had to
deal with sores caused by that for months. I am quickly reaching the
point where I despise cats. The little *******s hiss and try to scratch
me on my swollen legs, so I throw things at them to run them off before
I get another cut from their claws. With diabetes, a scratch can cost me
a leg.

A neighbor a few doors down has a full grown cat that walks out into
the street and lays down in front of moving cars. I have hit the brakes
for the last time.

Maybe we were better off in your promised yet short-lived self banishment, if that's
the best you can behave.

I never said that I was leaving forever. I said I had to leave, but
never set any time period.

I took a nasty fall down some stairs, and it looked like I was about
to lose one, or both legs. I am in pain around the clock, and I have a
short temper right now. I haven't slept for more than a few hours at a
time in over a year, and am to the point I can barely use my left hand.
My sense of humor is shot to hell right now. I have people demanding
one thing after another, and they don't like it when I tell them I can't
help them.

My legs have shown some improvement, but only because I stopped
listening to the doctors. I am down to five small sores, form over 50,
but only because I did the exact opposite of what I was told. I am
still so weak that I can barely walk, and it is driving me nuts.

Michael seems to be suffering from quite a few health problems. Is
Michael the only participant in this group that is suffering from
various problems? Reading the group I get that impression, do most
people that encounter problems with their health drop out of the group,
while Michael has decided to tough it out?

John Byrns

Your bad attitude and lack of respect towards other's pets is regrettable.
Your illness is unfortunate. But the combination of both is no excuse to
be running rabid on the group.

My sense of humor is shot to hell right now.

Maybe you should stay away until you find it. Obviously you can't handle
normal interaction at the present time. Come back when you feel better and
can participate without the anger.

He's not such a bad person, its just the odd occasion someone touches a raw
nerve. In fact he's an absolutely brilliant character when compared to Phil
Alison who's demented abusive behaviour we have to put up with on the other
electronics groups - now there's someone who truly should be sterilised in
the best interests of human evolution!

About a year ago Michael nearly died from dental problems. I and several
other members sent him money so he could have an extraction performed by a
charitable dentist (instead of having to wait for "free" dental work from a
local university).

Only one tooth was extracted, because the surgeon said the other did not
need to come out at that time. Michael could have lied about that and come
back for more money, but he did not.

Whatever his failings, he seems to be a honest person. Cut him a break.

I was wondering...

There was also an outbreak on ARF today but of course the threads were
all deleted as is customary there.
