That is the height of irresponsibility. The CIC must have unquestioned
credibility with the fighting forces. Anyone who spreads rumors that
question the President's legitimacy is undermining national security. When
a retired general adds to the doubt it is very very serious.
It seems that the extreme right has a new "Sedition/Treason of the Day"
policy. Though many on the far left didn't like Bush, and hoped fervently
for his impeachment and questioned the legitimacy of his presidency, none
that I know of ever actively sought his death or a violent overthrow of
elected government as some of the worst extreme right loons are doing now.
That general should mind carefully what he says about the CIC, by the way.
I believe that the UCMJ does allow for recommissioning to court martial....
I welcome any possible correction to this belief, but I have seen them bring
NCO's back in just to court martial them for serious enough crimes.
