Do you think that putting a 1:2 or 1:4 UNUN at the feedpoint of the KW
matchbox will extend the matching capability of this feedline tuner? No feedline length changes are possible at this time!!!!!!!!!!!! |

All the transformer will do is change the impedence... What it will not
do is correct reactance... So,if the matchbox is simply beyond its impedence range the unun 'might' help... But if there is uncompensated reactance which is almost guaranteed it will not help with that.. denny / k8do Willy wrote: Do you think that putting a 1:2 or 1:4 UNUN at the feedpoint of the KW matchbox will extend the matching capability of this feedline tuner? This works FB for me:
Connect another length of whatever feeder in parallel at the oupt terminals. Experiment with length, short/open-end, reactance (parallel/series coil/cap) any where along the new line - - right there in the shack. 73, Dave, N3HE "Willy" wrote in message .. .
