A Google search for "existence of photons" turned up
more than one million entries. The existence of photons
has been proved to my satisfaction. They have been
captured on sub-atomic particle plots and have been
proved to obey Planck's quantum principle. A single
photon has been shown to interfere with itself during
double slit experiments. A photon certainly exists but
I am not "absolutely" certain of exactly what it really
is as photons possess the particle-wave duality. However,
so do electrons and massive 60 atom carbon Buckyballs.
So how can 60 carbon atoms go through two slots at the
same time?

Here's one of the photon experiments.

Cecil, OM:

I agree, there is something which surely "acts" much like a "real"
photon should. Mostly, I am just joshing 'ya.

But, we may have to revise our present theory about photons in the
future, at some point.

However, there is one photon which has been all over the house here,
actually, it CAN seem to be in two places at once! I have termed the
discovery of this "new photon" the "Fly-Photon" and have began swatting
at it!

We, the human race, may have to revise our present
theories about *everything* in the future. :-) That
is, unless the patent office guy was right - you
know, the one who said, around the end of the 19th
century, that everything had already been invented.

Hey, all he did was spawn a "Everything Has Already Been Discovered
Society", and of course the famous "Everything IS Already Known
Society." But, my all time favorites are the, "Don't Challenge Present
Thinking and Theory Society" and, "If Einstein Said It, It Must Be True
Society."

I end up having discourse with a number of these groups members
here--usually the latter. serious look

Alas, I was born too late, all the good theories were taken.

JS

Very well explained. Thank you kindly...!

Your explanation and Cecil's were very clear and easy to
understand. Sincere thanks for taking time. I very much appreciate
the elmering.

respectfully,
