The John D Kraus Memorial Amateur Radio Club has been created, and
issued John's call sign W8JK.
The web site is http://www.naapo.org/W8JK/W8JK.htm . The station
will be on the air in various contests and special events. QSL via
KC8VEB. John was a well-known pioneer in antennas and Radio
Astronomy.

Dear Neighbor:

That is Big Ear. I worked on its first instrumentation long ago - the
antenna that is, not the book. It has gone to the Great Scrap Yard where
good antennas go so as to make way for a baby-factory or the like.

It is wonderful that such a great man's call will be preserved.
