LQQKING FOR INFO ON TAPE ANTENNA

LQQking for a source of a TAPE antenna. Unit has center mounting, and both
arms are tapes unwinding from the center.
This antenna can be used on both HF & VHF.
Thanks,

John-

I don't think they are in production any longer. Look for a Telex
Hy-Gain model 18TD Tape Doublet or a Hy-Gain model H-4000 Portable Reel
Tape Doublet Antenna. I think there was also a Mil-Spec version.

These antennas have a scale in meters on each tape, and came with a
meter to frequency conversion chart. The instructions claim a frequency
range of 3.5 to 30 MHz. You could adjust the elements to VHF lengths,
but the wound-up tape may interfere with the antenna's operation.
