Default Is the toroid on CRT monitor cables good for any ham-thing?

I recently "liberated" a toroid that is on every CRT monitor cable from
its molded-on plastic covering: it is a little over 1-inch long by
about 0.7-inch outside diameter, and its internal diameter is a fraction
too small for RG/8, but RG/58 and RG/59 fit without any difficulty.
Might its characteristics be any good for any ham use?
