Where to order Polyphaser lightning arrestors?
 

Anybody know where I can order some Polyphaser lightning arrestors over
the web?

I tried their website and they have a very lame "request quote" page where
you have to read what's on a very hard-to-decipher graphic, then copy that
into a text box, before it will even accept your request. It took me
seven (7) tries to type it in in a way the page would accept (and a few of
those times I KNOW I did it correctly), and now a week later no one has
responded.

I tried W. R. Block and (apparently) no way to order over the web.

I try to reserve the business day for business, and it is often difficult
for me to try to call these places during business hours to place orders,
and anyway, doesn't just about everybody know how to use the web to take
orders, by now?

Tried Google and didn't get anything workable in the first two pages.

Are there any Polyphaser vendors with decent websites that will take
online orders?

Thanks for the help on getting the Polyphase lightning arrestors.

I had previously tried Ham Radio Outlet, otherwise affectionately known
around here as The Candy Store or The Toy Store (there's one down in
Salem, NH, not far from here) with no luck finding anything on their
website, then I contacted a friend of mine who works there and he assured
me they have them or their equivalent.

I can attest to Davis RF (http://www.davisrf.com/) being good folks to deal
with. In addition to the Polyphaser lightning arrestors, they also carry a
good selection of coaxial cable & wire antenna parts (all at competitive
prices).

Yes, unfortunately their website is something with which they may as well
not even have bothered. Some of the prices are absent, some are stated as
ranges like "$60-$80", and some like the Cadwelds they advertise as
"average cost". So, you need to call them up and jump through hoops to
get something as basic as a price. And there appears to be no way to
order anything on their website.

I much prefer to support and patronize companies that make an effort to
make the buying experience as convenient for their customers as they can,
for example DX Engineering has done a much better job. If I find that Ham
Radio Outlet in Salem, NH doesn't have anything like that in stock, I'll
no doubt order some from DX Engineering.

They also have a toll-free telephone number, if you need to nail-down price
& availability. I first dealt with them when I was searching for
compression insulators for a wire antenna (I didn't find them available from
other sources, including WireMan). On the items that others also handled
(antenna wire & coaxial cable) that I was looking for, they had the best
price. You can't have too many sources for parts!
