I haven't been monitoring the group for a while. Wondering if anyone has considered two screwdriver type antennas mounted horizontal in a dipole fashion in the attic and appropriate control to acheive a tuneable attic dipole. stealth in CCR is the motivation. john AB8O Sounds like it would work, to me, but if it were me I would use wire instead. You can probably place wire more effectively in your attic and just use an SGC antenna coupler to tune it at the feedpoint. Would probably not only work better, but would be cheaper, too. Ed K7AAT Hoo booooey, here we go again.... ??? Have I missed something? Ed I suppose someone has written on the topic before. But is that like a crime in this group? I suppose a person might with a lot of effort to synchronise the screwdrivers, and a whole heck of lot of money for the screwdrivers themselves, manage to put a really mediocre antenna in their attic! There are a lot more cost effective solutions out there. - 73 de Mike N3LI - |
