Here was the preceding comment in context which you trimmed: "I offered the examples of two real sources that will absorb power when the returning voltage exceeds the output voltage (a battery and a generator turned into a motor)." The context was a battery absorbing power when the charging voltage exceeds the battery's output voltage.
