copper transmission lines with polumer insulator
Hi all,
I am working on an application of transmission lines for use in magnetic resonance. I know I have seen in the past pre-made transmission line that has an inner conductor surrounded by a white insulator ( I think it is Kel-F, it may be teflon) and a copper layer on the outside. It is quite stiff, and comes in long pieces that can be bent with a little effort. Does anyone know where I can pick some of this up? I have been through about 200 google pages with no luck. Thanks |

Thanks Try googling Rigid Coax |

Thanks Micro Coax (http://www.micro-coax.com/) is one source for semi-rigid coaxial cable, and comes in (IIRC) up to 8' lengths. The stuff isn't cheap, though... be prepared to empty your wallet! You can get it in longer lengths (at least 100') in a big coil (it's like copper tubing, after all). The stuff isn't cheap, though... be prepared to empty your wallet! Depends on what you call expensive.. $4-10/ft in 50' coils is a typical price. Pasternack sells 5' lengths of 0.085" copper for $3.66/ft |
