Hummm. New call I see...
I liked the old one better, but of course, I'm biased.. :/

Actually, I went back to my original Technician thru Advanced callsign. I'm
tired of repeating nm2k fifty different ways from Sunday and then they still
can't say it because they learned the alphabet with mn in that order and not
nm. On CW they think I'm finished sending with the K at the end of nm2k,
then they ask me what kind of callsign is nm2?

Besides, my wife and I had/have consecutive callsigns with N2ECV and N2ECW.

I had nm2k for 23 years. Now it is someone elses turn. G

I believe it, Cecil.

Besides, it's something different to do (changing callsigns). I was on the
fence when I asked for a change originally. I liked N2ECW. It sounds good
phonetically too.

I had that problem with my last call.. Sorta.. "WD5CJL"
If I just said "L" , often they would think I said "O" for some
reason.
Some do have a problem telling NM apart if the noise is high or
whatever.. I always use the standard "november -mike-five-kilo"
phonetics if they get confused.
I usually avoid the other versions.. IE: numb-minded-five-kinky"
as an example.. :/

Who knows; perhaps if they demonstrate an appreciation for the spectrum
that exists above 10m, they might set themselves apart.
