I think that is the type of wire they use on ships that runs over the
tops of the masts for end-fed long wire antennas. If you paid only $2 a foot for it you got a hell of a bargain. I am not a marine radio guy, but as I recall, the surface area of that type wire is about 14 or 15 square inches per linear foot. (Bill Hansen) wrote in message . com...
