N.E.C Grounding Code for Arials

No. 10 for Copper..

No. 08 for Aluminum
(Understandable Because of Resistance)

No. 17 for Copper Clad Steel?
Why do they allow such a small conducter?
Is steel able to handle higher voltages like lightening for a longer perioud
of time? (nanoseconds I would think)

Thanks,
Jeff P

Probably the melting point temperature.
Aluminum = 658.5 C.
Copper = 1083 C.
Iron = 1530 C.
