I can help you a little with learning to use EZNEC to model a Quad Helix.
I have a few Quad Helix antennas modeled for 137 MHz. That data is
available to you.
I can show you how to design your own hemispheric coverage antenna that
will perform better than a Quad Helix for reception of signals from polar
orbiting satallites.
