What be the result of stacking two (theoretical) isotropic antenna.

If the output from two (theoretical) isotropic antennas was to be combined
in phase and measured would there be a gain? And if so where is the gain
coming from, I'm thinking of the distorted balloon model to explain antenna
gain.

Thanks Cecil, obvious, seems like a dumb question!

Cheers
