Default can you use tv coax for 10 /11.meters please help the rookie

i wont to build a dipole ant for 10 meters can i use tv coax .or do i
need to use rg.58

Yes, you can use 5 ohm tv coax but you will be better off using 50 ohm
rg 8 or rg 58 cable as the output circuit of your radio is optimized for
the 50 ohm cable. There is aloss of power in the mismatched cable. Not
much but it is there.
If you must use 75 ohm cable then investigate using a matching section
of 50 ohm cable.

Sure. The aluminum used for the shield isn't easy to solder
to, but 'TV' coax should work okay.

i should came here in the first place the folks in the cb group

There are addapters for F plug to PL259. I can hear it now, "oh my god, you
will loose at least a milionth of a watt if you use an adapter. That is
totaly unacceptable".
