Anyone familiar with these full length roof vents on newer houses and re-roofs? Are they metal or plastic? Looking to buy a house (in Michigan) and it has such a vent. An outside antenna seems unlikely as it is a newer subdivision so I'll probably have to go camouflaged vertical or a peak of the roof, indoor dipole. 73, thanks Bob kb8tl at Yahoo dot com (spam disguised, replying directly to this note won't work) If you're talking about "ridge vents" I think they're typically plastic -- it's cheaper -- but you should be able to figure that out by looking at them up close. Or check a roofing supplier. A piece of wire would probably be more predictable and measurable. Bob k5qwg |
