With the completion of this trial, I am of the opinion that there is a unique
opportunity for amateur radio to cooperate with the power companies and build a bridge to solve and/or resolve the RF mitigation challenges. I am also of the opinion that it would be a profound mistake to take a standard alpha or beta test--successfully completed earlier than expected-- and interpret it as some 'victory' to 'kill BPL'. This is far from it; and if some vocal, minority of hams take that approach, it will only render their voice as irrelevant in the ongoing process. It will, again in my opinion, look very bad for ham radio. Time to build bridges into the future. Surely you agree. 73, Chip N1IR |
