Reactance means the power is coming back to you!
Part of the power fed to a short antenna comes back to you making
it seem reactive. That that power is coming back means that not all of it is being radiated, as is mistakenly claimed by a number of people. |

A short antenna will radiate 10 watts of power just as well as a long antenna. |

Real antennas do not "seem" reactive, they ARE reactive at any frequency where they are not exactly resonant. That that power is coming back means that not all of it is being radiated, as is mistakenly claimed by a number of people. Word salad nonsense based on a false premise. Power is not a discrete thing that flows like a river. It is current that flows through an electrical circuit and the power at any point in the circuit is I^2R. -- Jim Pennino |
