Internet Shared Station?

I recall reading a posting about a number of stations with FB rigs and
antennas that can be used via the internet.

I assume it is some kind of a club or time share arrangement and would
like to find out more for ham with a broadband connection that is living
in a retirement complex.

He would love to get back on the air again antennas are off limits at
his R-QTH.

There are for example W7DXX (http://www.lamonica.com/) and YT6A
(http://www.yt6a.com/remote/) who have remote controllable stations.

I am sure there are some more stations available, google is your friend.

Hello, Dick and the group,

Have a look at www.w4mq.com , Stan Schretters website. He developed and
setup tis whole system. Currently, there are some 5 or 6 stations accessible
over the internet. Some are closed club systems, some are open for public
(ham only) use worldwide. Including stations in the US (MA,VA,GA,CA,FL),
VK3, EA8, there might be more of them for private use by their owners.

You can use this software to remotely control your Kenwood TS2000, Tuner,
Amp and Beam over Internet connection, and due to the small amount of
bandwith, even with dialup access (but not recommended).

These are some additional links for you to check out, how those guys
accomplished to put their stations on the net.

Hope to meet you on the air from one of the remotes.
I am frequently QRV in PSK and SSB from one of the Internet Remote Bases on
20m, mostly around 0400z.
