Default parallel transmission lines

ITs ok to use 75-ohm coax - 1.5 swr is acceptable - right? so why try to
convert it

[Recall Junior has tons of 75 ohm CATV cable, and wants to make a 50
ohm cable.] Recalling the way resistors and capacitors can be hooked
in series or parallel, say, do parallel cables halve or double the
ohms? One center lead to one side of the dipole, the other center
lead to the other side of the dipole. The braids hooked together I
suppose. Or, both center leads hooked to top side of dipole, both
braids hooked to bottom side of dipole. All kind of combos possible.
Wait, this is all a waste of cable. OK, never mind.
