Awaiting the morning with dread ...

After the 60MPH gusts that blew late into the evening, to what
damage to the antenna farm will I awake in the morning?

You still have internet, so it couldn't have been too horrible.
Probably something like this:

http://802.11junk.com/jeffl/pics/Storm-Damage-2011-12-03/slides/IMGP0113.html
http://802.11junk.com/jeffl/pics/Storm-Damage-2011-12-03/index.html
That's my roof after I chainsawed half the tree in the background and
cleared out some of the debris around the skylight. None of the
antennas on my roof survived and most of the masts were trashed.

My current wire antennas all have thin strings at the ends or at the
feed point to allow for falling branch damage. If I build the
antennas stronger, the falling branches would tear down the end
supports or break various baluns. Better to have them fall down
intact, than destroyed.

"If it survives the winter, the antenna was too small",
which is something legendary moonbouncer Sam Harris was supposed
to have said.
