Losses in auto ATUs?

In the Feb 2016 edition of BadCon (The journal of the RSCB) there is
a picture of an internal auto ATU in one rig, and the switchable capacitors
do not look like they are particularly low-loss.

Even manual ATUs tend to be dummy loads under some condx, so is there
any concern or interest in that auto ATUs might be unduly warming up the
shack?

I don't think loss is a visual property.

One can only hope the manufacturer used reasonably good components.
