Hello Richard,
Many thanks for that information! If others are interested, the file is available he http://www.usda.gov/rus/telecom/publ...s/1751f802.pdf Chuck Hi Ram, Well, you have certainly picked one of the most obscure thesis to embark upon. Everyone's done it, they all have an answer, but no one could repeat it anywhere by any rationale except maybe in one fine publication: UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE Rural Electrification Administration REA BULLETIN 1751F-802 SUBJECT: Electrical Protection Grounding Fundamentals It does not characterize soil, but it does a very compelling job of characterizing technique, which is very valuable. I don't know what the soil is like there in Malaysia, but you can bet that it contains all the variables that will make analysis quite a challenge. I would presume that you at least have less differences in water content and temperature than here in North America (this drives a huge difference in earth resistance). 73's Richard Clark, KB7QHC |
