6 meter stacked halo ?
 
I was talking to a guy (forgot his call) that said he uses
some sort of commerically made antenna for 6m that
is a pair of stacked loops that givee omni pattern of
about 6db or so. What is this antenna?

Doug,
Could be one of several depending on when they were purchased or made.
AEA made a 6 meter loop until the later 90's; though I was never too
impressed with it. Have spoken on the air with a couple of guys who
use the KB6KQ as a mobile antenna and they had a decent signal and
indicated the antenna holds up quite well mobile. The three current
vendors I know of are shown below - don't think you'd get a bad
antenna from any of them, they are reputable operations.
