4NEC2 under Linux Wine

Kind of partly off topic....

Has anyone been able to get 4NEC2 under Wine? (Window emulator under
Linux) If so any pointers? (I get Run-time error 5 - Invalid proecure or
call)

Hi Bob, are you familiar with http://www.si-list.org/swindex2.html ? There
is a link on this site for Linux executable NEC2 source code, which I
believe has been translated from FORTRAN to C. Will not help you with the
Windows emulator, but it seems you will be able to run NEC2 at least.

Hi Frank

Actually I like the GUI interface grin

At one stage I was looking at the MMANA code under Linux. The GUI worked
well but the later wine versions spat the dummy at running the DOS box
executable. Was considering using the Linux based code from the site you
mentioned..

Tnxs for your comments though..

Cheers Bob

Hi Bob, I guessed you would have been familiar with that site, but thought I
would mention it just in case. I have never used 4NEC2, but understand it
is just like real NEC2 where you enter data on the NEC "Cards". Most of
the time I use NEC-Win Pro, which is very easy to use, and you also have
full access to all the cards. It also has the Sommerfeld/Norton feature
built in.

Regards,

Frank
