I like it. What "works best " is a nebulous notion, especially over such a wide frequency range. If you haven't reviewed a few texts, at least the ARRL stuff, do so and then get back to us. If you have, my apologies and a few simplifications: A pole mounted vertical with no ground plane must necessarily be a 1/2 wave antenna. Traps are lossy; Full-size, resonant, matched antennas "work best". 73 H. NQ5H |
