i just got a vangordon 1 1 balun w/ear loops and pl259
how can idetermine which 'ear' is + and or - ? my ohmeater shows same for both so obv that not a good test |

Actually, it's AC so there is no polarity. no plarity? so if i am making a dipole that says make the + side say 88ft long(aka rf hot)) off the balun, and the - rf ground side say 44ft long your saying making either terminal off the balun 44 or 88 ft long is the same? and would have exactly same effect?? home come the back of my tuner has rf hot (+) on it? just a bit confused |

Actually, for MOST applications, the polarity will make no difference.
The ONLY eception would be if you were stacking 2, or more antennas (like , say 2 tribanders in phase, which in itself would be an awesome sight!). Just hook it up and work the world!
