Great pictures. Too bad it exhaust heat to the left side. My
AL-80X exhaust heat out the rear. I would consider 80B if it
could be modified to exhaust heat on the right side.

Hi Dick -

I haven't looked at "Charlie's" pix, but it sounds like he might have
reversed them. The AL-80B DOES exhaust out the right side.
That's where the tube is, and it gets the air last.

BTW, keep me in mind if you get serious about looking for an 80B.
Mine has been serving me very well, but I'm thinking about upgrading
to an ACOM 1000.

Hi Dick,
It does exhaust out the right side as it draws in from the left side.

Left or Right depends on how you are viewing the AMP. From the
front (looking at the meters) it exits on the left side.

Not on - M Y - AL-80B...it exhausts on the right side when viewed from the
front. Maybe they made a design change but I was at Ameritron just today (in
Starkville,MS) and all the AL-80B's there are the same as mine..that is when
viewed from the front in the western hemisphere they exhaust on the right.
In the year of our lord..2005AD.

You are too much....
